Bollywood star Salman Khan is busy with promotional activities of his upcoming movie Tubelight, which is set to hit worldwide theatres as an Eid release. During one of the press conferences in the UAE, he made some comments on Malayalam movies, and that's something all Keralites would be happy to hear.

When asked how would he look up to Malayalam cinema having acted in remakes of Mollywood hit-makers Priyadarshan and Siddique, and how much of Malayalam cinema has actually influenced Bollywood, Salman said: "Both the films that I have done with them are Malayalam remakes, Bodyguard and Kyon Ki (Thalavattam in Malayalam). So, there you go."

Meanwhile, when asked about the Malayalam movies that he has watched, Bollywood's most eligible bachelor said that he wants to watch superstar Mohanlal's blockbuster action thriller Pulimurugan.

"I am going to watch a movie, which Mohanlal has just done, which is very hit. That one I want to watch. I am trying to track down Siddique, I don't know where he is," Salman added.

In the upcoming historical war drama, set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian war, Salman appears as Laxman, who falls in love with Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The movie is the third collaboration of Salman and director Kabir Khan after films Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and its promo videos have already raised the expectations of the audience.

Meanwhile, Pulimurugan, helmed by Vysakh, has become the first Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious Rs 150 crore club and shattered many records at the Kerala box office. Mohanlal played Murukan, the saviour of a village vulnerable to man-eating tigers. The superstar even bagged National Film Special Jury Award for his performance in the action thriller.
