Bollywood hunk Salman Khan, who has promoted all his films on "Comedy Nights With Kapil", has ditched Kapil Sharma this time.

Salman, along with "Hero" stars Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi, will be seen on "Comedy Nights Bachao" to promote their film.

"Comedy Nights Bachao" is a new comedy show that is expected to give a tough competition to Kapil's comedy series "CNWK".

The "Dabangg" actor was last seen in "CNWK" when he had gone there to promote "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", but for "Hero" promotions, Salman chose Kapil's rival show "Comedy Nights Bachao".

The promo for the episode has already been shot and the episode will be aired on 5 September.

The show comprises five teams -- Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lahiri and Sara Khan; Bharti Singh, Karan Wahi and Pritam Singh; Anita Hassanandani and Mubeen; Shruti Seth and Shakeel Siddiqui; and Pooja Bose and Naseem Vicky.

Interestingly, most of the members are former colleagues of Kapil. It seems all is not well between the Colors channel and the "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" actor.

After he went on a break, several speculations were made. Kapil took off from "Comedy Nights With Kapil" due to ill health, but rumour had it that the host demanded a fee hike, which the channel didn't fulfill.

Is that the reason behind Colors bringing in a new comedy show, which will air on Saturdays at the same time as "CNWK".

On top of that, Salman also ditched Kapil Sharma's show to promote "Hero".

"Ever since CNWK started, Salman has come on Kapil's show to promote every film of his. Now suddenly he has gone to CNB to promoteHero with Sooraj Pancholi and Aathiya Shetty because his brother Sohail is associated with the comic actors on CNB. It's a big blow for Kapil's ego. On his show, the very next night Salman would be conspicuous by his absence," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.
