Salman Khan started promotions of his upcoming movie "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" with a Garba dance along with Sonam Kapoor during an event in Ahmedabad.

Salman, who was seen doing the Garba in the song "Dholi Taro" from the movie "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", enthralled his Ahmedabad fans with a live Garba dance in his own style on Wednesday.

The "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor was accompanied by co-actress Sonam Kapoor and appeared to be in high spirits as he started dancing.

"Salman hasn't danced the Garba for years and it was his suggestion that they join the festivities before Navratri wound to a close. The fact that he was there in his much-loved Prem avatar only added to the fun and jhatkas," said a spokesperson in a statement.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the movie "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will present Salman in double roles, one of a prince and the other of a fighter.

The film marks the reunion of Salman and director Sooraj Barjatya after a span of 15 years, their last film together being "Hum Saath Saath Hain".

"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is supported by a huge ensemble cast and is slated for release on 12 November.
