Sohail Khan, director of Salman Khan's "Mental", said he has no plans to release the much-anticipated film in November.

Recently, it was reported that "Mental" would hit the screens on 22 November, but Sohail rubbished the reports stating, "That I am releasing the film on Nov 22 is news to me also. Now people are deciding for me when I'll release my film without my knowledge," IANS reported.

Sohail added that considering the pace of developments, he might wrap up the film by the end of the year but has not decided on the release date.

"The way the shooting is going on, I might make it by the end of the year, Inshallah. But I haven't locked in on a date yet," said the actor-turned-director.

Sohail who forayed into direction with "Auzaar" in 1997 said that "Mental" was his fifth directorial venture.

Though no formal announcements have been made, rumour has it that the Khan brothers are planning for a mid-December release, just days before Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" hits screens.

"Salman wants Mental to make it by December. But he won't let it clash with 'Dhoom 3'. It stars two people who are very precious to him - Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif," a source close to the film said.

Salman who usually releases his films on Eid has left the slot to give way for Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" and Akshay Kumar's "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai 2". Both movies are slated to release on 8 August.

Earlier, it was reported that none of Salman's movies would release this year after the shooting of "Mental" was postponed due to his health issues.

"Mental" is a remake of Telugu movie "Stalin" and features dancer-turned-actress Daisy Shah and model Sana Khan in lead roles.
