Pulkit Samrat is relatively a young gen star in Bollywood but the actor now has an undeniably big supporter in Salman Khan.

Samrat, who made humble beginnings into the show biz industry through television serials, recently ditched TV shows to become a Bollywood actor.

Samrat, last seen in Salman's "Jai Ho", made a remarkable onscreen presence last year with "Fukrey".

And now as the actor gears up for his upcoming film "O Teri", his mentor Salman, has spoken up for him.

"Pulkit reminds me of myself when I came into the industry first. Probably it's his vulnerability that makes me feel like that. What I like most about him is that he is very clean looking. I like the fact that he doesn't panic and is patient. He has a great comic timing, acts very well, is dedicated and is sincere," Salman told The Times of India.

The "Dabangg" star further goes on to compare Samrat's meticulousness to that of his superstar friend Aamir Khan.

"He has the sincerity of Aamir. He is also a fan of Aamir. Though Pulkit may not show it physically, the preparation is all in his mind. I saw it at the time of 'Jai Ho'. He has so far all the makings of a big star... but I would not produce a film with him unless he fits the bill," Salman added.

Only recently, Samrat too was quoted praising his mentor as he let out that he tries hard not to disappoint him.

"He (Salman) is a rock star, the best human being I have ever met. His contribution is great (towards my film career), his belief in me as an actor is something I could have never thought of. I do feel nervous at times about disappointing him. I try not to let his expectations down," the "Fukrey" star told PTI.
