Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif may be seen back together on the big screen in the Hindi remake of Telugu hit "Kshanam." While it was earlier reported that Sajid Nadiadwala has bought the rights of the Hindi remake of the thriller, latest buzz suggests that Salman and Katrina would play the lead roles in the flick.

"Both Salman and Katina are very keen to come together again for a film. And the Hindi remake of 'Kshanam' seems very apt. The female protagonist plays the hero's ex for whom the hero would go to any lengths. Isn't that very much like the role that Salman is playing in real life?" SKJ Bollywood News quoted a source as saying.

Original "Kshanam" featured Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma. Having released in February this year, the movie received positive response from the critics as well as the audience. The plot of "Kshanam" revolved around an NRI, who lives in the US, and his ex girlfriend. The NRI returns back to India after his former girlfriend told him that her daughter has been kidnapped and asked him to help her find the girl. However, several mysteries unfold as the story progresses.

Salman and his ex girlfriend Katrina were last seen together in the movie "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012) that was a blockbuster. There were also rumours that Salman's another former girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani is being considered as the female lead in the film, as reported by Miss Malini.com.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Salman and Katrina will reunite in an upcoming Karan Johar movie that will also feature Sushant Singh Rajput. "Salman has collaborated with Karan Johar for a film. And if all goes as per the plan, Katrina Kaif and Sushant Singh Rajput will play the lead roles," Bollywoodlife had quoted a source as saying. However, there has not been any confirmed news on Salman and Katrina reuniting for a movie.

Salman will next be seen in "Sultan" that features Anushka Sharma. On the other side, Katrina is currently prepping for "Baar Baar Dekho," opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
