Much to the disappointment of their fans, Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh will not perform at a concert in Chicago as the show was cancelled due to unavailability of Salman owing to his tight movie schedule, reports say.

The three-day extravagance, titled as 100 Years of Indian Cinema Concert and Awards, was set to commence on 30 August at the Sears Center Arena, Hoffman Estates in Chicago but Salman had to back out from the show after the shooting of his upcoming movie, "Kick" got delayed on account of the denial of the UK Visa.

Apart from Salman, other actors who were set to perform at the event include Katrina, Sonakshi and Ranveer, who were also busy with their projects, forcing the organisers to cancel the show.

Earlier, announcing the show, Sudesh Sonawane of Entertainment Synergies had told The Times of India, "Our focus is to celebrate 100 Years of Indian Cinema worldwide and beside the business meet we also plan to host an extravagant musical concert featuring leading playback singers Usha Mangeshkar, Krishna Beura and more from the Bollywood Industry who would mesmerize the audiences with a musical journey from 1913 till present."

It was also said that the performance by the actors will be choreographed by Prabhudeva. Sonawane had said, "The event will also showcase performances by Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and other leading Bollywood celebrities being choreographed by Prabhu Deva at the Sears. But the main attraction of the event will the performance of Bollywood's superstar Salman Khan. The event will culminate with a live award ceremony honoring Bollywood legends."

Salman is set to fly to London to commence the shooting of Sajid Nadiawala's "Kick". The actor was to begin the filming for the movie by the end of July but his schedule got postponed after he was denied UK Visa. According to reports, Salman was granted Visa on his second trial and has decided to concentrate solely on "Kick", which stars Jacqueline Fernandez in female lead.

Meanwhile, Katrina is shooting for her December release, "Dhoom 3" opposite Aamir Khan. She will soon resume the shooting of "Bang Bang" alongside Hrithik Roshan.  Ranveer and Sonakshi are also busy with their prior commitments.
