Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor turns 59 today, i.e., 24 December. Several Bollywood celebs attended the birthday bash of the actor, which was held on Wednesday at his residence.

Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Farah Khan, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Subash Ghai, David Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor and many other Bollywood big wigs graced Anil's birthday party.

With family members and close friends, the "Dil Dhadakne Do" actor's special day was celebrated in a grand manner. Father of three – Sonam, Rhea, Harshvardhan – Anil still looks young and is very active. He has been for almost 40 years in the film indstry.

The actor made his Bollywood movie debut in 1979 with "Hamare Tumhare" in a small role. As a lead actor, he appeared in a Telugu film "Vamsa Vruksham" in 1980. He was also a part of Mani Ratnam's superhit Kannada flick "Pallavi Anu Pallavi".

Anil got his first Filmfare Award for his role in Yash Chopra's "Mashaal" (1984). He earned his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in N. Chandra's "Tezaab" (1988) and later again for his performance in Indra Kumar's "Beta" (1992).

Globally, Anil is one of the most recognised Indian actors. He was the producer of critically acclaimed movie "Gandhi, My Father." His first role in an international film was in Danny Boyle's Academy Award-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire".
