The controversy over Union Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda's son for cheating actress Mythriya Gowda has been making news.
Though she is not a popular actress, here are a few things you would like to know about her.
Mythriya is a model turned actress from Mandya, currently settled in Bangalore, who is a familiar face in celebrity circles and the film industry.
Mythriya has walked the ramp for many fashion shows in the city and other parts of the country. She had also worked with television and even appeared in few less popular films like "Raaya", "Hrudaya I Miss You" and "Namasthe India".
The actress had also been in the news previously for some wrong reasons. She was arrested with her friends in 20 May 2011 for assaulting a traffic police cop on duty. They were later granted bail by the court.
The name Mythriya has now again hit the headlines and this time it is much more controversial. The starlet has now come up with allegations against Karthik Gowda, son of D. V. Sadananda Gowda.
She claims that Karthik had secretly married her and cheated on her. The allegations came soon after Karthik got engaged to another woman in a private ceremony in Kodagu, which was attended by his close friends and family.
Mythriya has now filed a complaint against Karthik in RT Nagar police station on 27 August, accusing him of committing offenses of rape and cheating.
The actress alleged that they were deeply in love and the couple got married privately in Mangalore on 5 June in the presence of Karthik's driver.
She also claimed that Karthik had asked her not to reveal the details of their marriage to anyone until he gets consent from his parents. To make it more believable, the actress has produced some pictures of them together.
However, both Karthik and his father have come against the statements made by the actress and claimed that the allegations are part of political conspiracy made against the minister.
Karthik also added that Mythriya was just his friend, while the minister added that the pictures produced by the actress cannot be taken as a proof as they were taken while Karthik and Mythriya were friends.
Meanwhile, RT Nagar police booked Karthik under IPC sections 376 and 420 for rape, cheating and dishonesty, respectively.
