Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar crossed eight million fans on social media website Twitter. Like Virat Kohli, who has got the most number of followers amongst the cricketers across the world, Sachin too has been seen active on Twitter.

He was wishing the Indian team and expressing his views on the matches via Twitter during the ICC World Cup 2015. He also wished luck to the Australian World Cup winning team skipper Michael Clarke and Daniel Vettori after they decided to retire from the One-Day International cricket (ODI), reported Cricket Country.

Tendulkar was the ambassador of ICC during the World Cup and he also handed over the man of the match and the man of the series trophies to James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc respectively.

Tendulkar is currently the team icon of Mumbai Indians (MI) and he was seen guiding skipper Rohit Sharma led MI team during the practice sessions at the Eden Gardens ahead of their first match against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
