Popular actor Mohammad Nazim, who re-entered Saath Nibhaana Saathiya where he used to play the role of Ahem Modi, is happy to be back on the show.

Nazim returned not as Ahem, but as a fun-loving Punjabi guy, who is Ahem's look-alike. "I am super excited and glad that I am back to my own show. This is where I have started my success journey. Today, whatever I am is for my work in this show only," Nazim told India Forums.

"The audience can only identify you with the role you play, currently, I am playing the character of Jaggi who is a funny Punjabi guy and most importantly I am playing a young and fresh character with a new track," he added.

Readers would recall that Ahem was shown to be killed in a car accident as the makers wanted to bring some freshness to the plot and introduce a new twist in the storyline. The new twist, and Khalid Siddiqui's entry as the new lead, didn't go down well with the audience, resulting in a drop in the show's Television Rating Points (TRPs).

The viewers as well as the makers were not impressed with Khalid Siddiqui aka Krishna and his chemistry with the female protagonist, Devoleena Bhattacharjee (Gopi). With the viewers missing the favourite jodi (Ahem and Gopi), the show makers decided to bring Nazim back on the show.

Nazim added that he is grateful to the audience for having showered him love and support throughout his journey and it is because of the audience that he is back on the show.

"It's not about my terms and conditions, it is also the understanding me and my producer share and that is rare. What gives me the most creative satisfaction is the audiences love for us," Nazim said.

"Eventually, I am back to the show and the show has got back on top. This is very special and I am grateful to my audience and to my show," he added.
