Zee TV's "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" 2016 will see a change in its host. Aditya Narayan, who has been hosting the show until now, will not be a part of the singing reality show for the next few weeks as the series has got an extension.
"Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" 2016, which went on air in March, was supposed to telecast the grand finale on July 3. But with no other show to replace the singing reality show in the same time slot, the channel and the makers came up with the idea of stretching it for another two weeks. With this, Aditya, who had a contract with the show till July 3, will not be able to continue hosting it due to his prior commitments.
The makers have now roped in actors Annu Kapoor and Jay Bhanushali to replace Aditya on the show, Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) reported. While Jay will be hosting the episodes to be aired on July 9 and July 13, Annu, who is well known for hosting "Antakshari," will be seen on the episode to be telecast on July 10.
"Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" 2016 has Bollywood's singer Mika Singh, Pritam and Sajid-Wajid in the judges panel. The upcoming episode (July 9) will see Irrfan Khan making an appearance on the show to promote his film "Madaari."
While Aditya's absence from the show may upset viewers of the show, the report said that Aditya will make a comeback as the host in the grand finale, which will be aired on July 17.
Earlier, the eighth season of "Bigg Boss" also saw a change in its host when the controversial reality show was extended by a month. Salman Khan, who was hosting the show had to make an exit due to his prior commitments to a film project ("Bajrangi Bhaijaan"). Salman was then replaced by Farah Khan.
