This August, box office is ready to witness one of the biggest clashes of 2016. Akshay Kumar's "Rustom" and Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro" will lock horns at the box office on Aug. 12.

However, Ashutosh Gowariker, the director of "Mohenjo Daro," and Akshay are confident that both the movies will do wonders at the box office. Earlier, Akshay had said that "Rustom" would cross Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office and now on Tuesday, during a press conference, Ashutosh said that both "Rustom" and "Mohenjo Daro" will be superhit.

"The thought did come to our mind that the films will clash and box office will get affected, but then even 'Sholay' and 'Jai Santoshi Maa' released on same date and 'Jai Santoshi Maa' was a bigger hit because its cost of recovery was higher," Ashutosh said during the press conference.

"'Lagaan' and 'Gaddar' had released on the same date too. So, I feel 'Mohenjo Daro' should also work and 'Rustom' should also work. Both the films should be superhits," he added.

Earlier, Akshay during a press conference said that he is confident about "Rustom" doing well at the box office. "I hope even Rustom does Rs 100 crore at the Box-Office. We have made a good film and I hope people like it. With the kind of product that we have made, I think it will be a hat-trick of Rs 100 crore films for me this year," Akshay said during the success meet of "Housefull 3."

While the makers of both the movies are confident, we will let the audiences decide the fate of "Rustom" and "Mohenjo Daro" at the box office.

"Rustom" has been directed by Tinu Suresh Desai features Akshay, Ileana D'Cruz and Arjan Bajwa in the lead roles. The film is based on the famous Nanavati murder case and Akshay plays the role of a Navy Officer.

"Mohenjo Daro" features Hrithik and Pooja Hegde and has been directed by Ashutosh.
