Stylish star Allu Arjun, who attended the music release of "Rudramadevi" in Warangal on 22 March, heaped praises upon actress Anushka Shetty and director Gunasekhar for their work in the film.
In his address after the audio launch of Rudramadevi at Warangal, Allu Arjun uttered a dialogue from the movie and said: "I am playing the role of Gona Gona Reddy. Anushka Shetty is a heroine, but she is playing a hero in the movie. She has delivered sterling performance in it. Other than her, no other actress could have better suited the role (or) done justice to it."
Rudramadevi features ensemble of cast of talented artistes. "Several others have delivered good performances and Krishnam Raju is one among them. My friend Rana Daggubati has also done very well and I congratulate him on this occasion. Prakash Raj, Nithya Menon and others have also done well. I thank them for their work," the actor added.
Bunny thanked technicians for their work in the project. "National award winning editor Sreekar Prasad, maestro Ilaiyaraja, lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastri, cinematographer Ajayanan Vincent have created a great platform called 'Rudramadevi'. I am blessed to be part of it. I thank my dialogue writer Ravi and also director Trivikram Srinivas for encouraging me to do this movie," he said.
Allu Arjun lauded the bold approach to the movie. "Nobody in the industry will dare to produce a big-ticket female-centric historical film like 'Rudramadevi'. Such a project has happened neither in the past, nor will come in future. Director Gunasekhar has taken this risk and made a brave attempt by producing it. He is the captain of our ship and we are all confident about his work," Bunny said.
"Today, the trend in the industry is that money is the first priority and second comes the movie. I have not seen any filmmaker giving first priority to a film. If there is any such director in the industry, he is Gunasekhar. I accepted his offer because of his passion for films. I am proud to have him in Tollywood. I thank you very much sir. I have done this movie just for you," the actor added.
He also remembered Chiranjeevi on the occasion. "This movie is related to history and I would like to talk about it. The Megastar is my history. After him, several members including me from the mega family have entered the industry, earned huge amount of fans and become superstars. But he is above all of us. We can never stand equal to his level and position," Allu Arjun said.
He also revealed Chiru's success mantra. "I can easily get claps form audience by uttering some punch, satiric and controversial dialogues. But Chiranjeevi says one thing: 'Hurting people is easy, but winning their heart is very difficult job. So I always try to gain a place in the hearts of people.' I would like to thank all mega family fans present here," he said, concluding his emotional speech.
