Royal Enfield Himalayan adventure tourer motorcycles is all set to undertake a 10-day multi-city road show across the country ahead of its possible launch in India in March. The adventure tourer was unveiled in Delhi, India, on Feb. 2 -- a day before the 13th edition of Auto Expo 2016 kick-started.

According to a RushLane report, the Himalayan adventure motorcycle will be showcased at various malls in Noida, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai starting from Feb.13 as part of pre-launch campaign for the bike.

The Himalayan -- the new offering from the iconic bike maker Royal Enfield -- hopes to target the uncharted territory of adventure motorcycles in India. To be positioned below the Classic 500 and the Continental GT, Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 1.65 to 1.85 lakh.

For the uninitiated, the Himalayan will be powered by an all-new 411-cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that is tuned to dish out 24.5bhp at 6,500 rpm and 32Nm torque at 4,000-4,500 rpm paired with five-speed transmission.

In terms of dimensions, the Himalayan measures 2,190 mm in length, 840 mm in width, and 1,360 mm in height (fly screen top). It has a wheelbase of 1,465 mm and offers a ground clearance of 220 mm. The new adventure tourer comes with 41-mm front forks and a monoshock at the rear, and rides on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel.
