Roy
Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer "Roy" to affect the box office collection of "Baby" and "Shamitabh"facebook

The year 2015 started on a dull note with only one movie – Baby -- faring well at the box office in India. But it looks like "Roy" is going to end the dry spell at collection centers.

Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer "Roy" has received positive response, until now. The pre-release buzz, which is quite strong, will work in the favour of the film. And, what makes us say so is the advance booking response for the film.

The pre-booking counter opened on Monday and within two days several shows in Mumbai had gone housefull. "Roy" will give a tough competition to current movies "Baby" and "Shamitabh".

Since its releasing during Valentine's Day weekend, the film is expected to have a bumper opening. It can also beat the opening day record of "Baby", which is the highest of 2015.

"Roy" will majorly hamper the box office collection of Akshay Kumar's "Baby", which dominated the box office for three weeks continuously and minted 91 crore.

Akshay's action thriller was expected to cross 100 crore, but it looks like the film will end its run without achieving that mark due to "Roy".

Even, Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer "Shamitabh" will struggle to survive at the box office after the release of Arjun and Ranbir starrer. "Shamitabh" managed to earn decent amount in its first week, but it will get a tough competition from Vikramjit Singh directorial film.

Overall, "Roy" will open to good occupancy and have a bumper opening on Friday.
