Olympics has always been known as the major sporting spectacle on the earth, and the quadrennial event in Rio has also come to an end with a brilliant closing ceremony. The Rio Olympics entertained viewers all around the world, and there were some huge memories, which has been etched in the minds of the sports lovers, while there was some despair, as usual, for some athletes in the competition.

Some of the major world records, which bagged headlines were Wayde Van Niekerk in the men's 400m with a timing of 43.03 and Great Britain's swimmer Adam Peaty in the 100m breaststroke, who broke his own record with a timing of 57.13 in the finals.
