Samsung, one of the official sponsors of the Rio 2016 games, announced the special Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition on Thursday.
"Sports are all about an individual's relentless journey of challenging complacency, and the Olympic Games are the ultimate global celebration of the progress and achievement of athletes, countries and their fans coming together to unite the world," Younghee Lee, executive vice president of global marketing, mobile communications business, Samsung Electronics, said in statement.
"Samsung admires the spirit of Olympians and fans across the globe who continuously push boundaries for the better," Lee added.
The new model will have same design language and internal hardware. Key difference will be the colouring of the device's accents. All the five official colours of the Olympic Rings have been painted on key parts of the device. It flaunts black cover with blue-hued camera module (blue) on the back, gold (yellow) on speakers and home button, green on the volume rockers and red on the power button.
The five colour combination has also been integrated into phone's user interface, including home, lock screens, message app, dial, contact screens and notification bar. It also comes with Rio 2016 Olympic Games-themed wallpapers as well.

It will be made available from July 18 in select regions, including Brazil, the U.S., China, Germany and South Korea.
However, the price details of the new Samsung phone are still under wraps.
As part of promotional campaign, Samsung will be giving away 12,500units of Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Limited Edition with Gear IconX to all the athletes participating in the upcoming Rio 2016.
