Chris Brown seems to have finally got someone to love, understand and take care of him. It is none other than his former girlfriend Rihanna.

The Privacy singer, who celebrated his 28th birthday on May 5, started his day by receiving a restraining order from the lawyer of his former lover Karrueche Tran. Although he was a little upset about it, everything changed after he received a surprise call from the 29-year-old Barbadian singer.

"Rih was not about to let this day go by without hitting Chris up on his birthday. They FaceTimed and when he picked up she immediately started singing him happy birthday. He was speechless. His eyes lit up and he had the biggest smile on his face," an industry insider told Hollywood Life.

The insider also claimed that Rihanna said the three magical words to Brown towards the end of their conversation. "He was bobbing his head when she was singing and when she was done he was like wow. They talked briefly and she told him I love you," the source said.

Another person close to the former couple stated that they are planning to reconcile. "The plan is to hopefully link up when their respective schedules allow it," the insider said.

The Diamond singer had once stated that she will be reaching out for Brown's help whenever he needs it. "I'm the person who's almost the guardian angel to this person, to be there when they're not strong enough and when they're not understanding the world," she said during one of her interviews.

However, RiRi and her former boyfriend may make their public appearance only after his next court hearing with Tran, which is scheduled for May 23.

"This has been a frustrating endeavour trying to serve someone who was clearly evading service. I feel better knowing she is safe and we can now focus on securing her a permanent restraining order, rather than playing cat and mouse with Mr. Brown," E!Online quoted her defence attorney Michelle Trigger as saying.
