Bollywood actress Richa Chadha revealed she was offered the role of Hrithik Roshan's mother in "Agneepath." The actress made a mark in Bollywood with her film "Gangs of Wasseypur," in which she played Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother and Manoj Bajpayee's wife.

"I got a random call from a random casting director who hadn't even seen 'Gangs (of Wasseypur)' when we were shooting, he knew what I looked like (in the film). He called me to play something really ridiculous — Hrithik Roshan's mother in 'Agneepath'," Richa told Anupama Chopra in an interview for Film Companion.

"I said: 'Do you wanna know what I look like, I am just gonna take a photo and send it to you, don't do this to me.' They said nahi nahi humne suna hai aap Nawaz ki mummy ka role.. (No, no we heard that you are playing Nawaz's mother)' and I was like 'Oh my god'," Richa said.

Richa was 25 years old when she was offered the role. The actress continued to win hearts with her brilliant performance in films like "Fukrey," "Main Aur Charles" and "Masaan," and now will be seen in two films – "Sarbjit" and "Cabaret."

In Omung Kumar's "Sarbjit," Richa will be  seen ageing again, along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and other characters of the film. Interestingly, she will appear in a different avatar in her next flick, "Cabaret."

In the teaser of "Cabaret," Richa was seen as a glamorous cabaret dancer in fishnet stockings, leather bodices, strappy-tight corsets and a bedsheet. Pooja Bhatt's film also features "Hunterrr" actor Gulshan Devaiah. It had been reported earlier that the film was based roughly on the life of yesteryear actress and dancer Helen.
