The eighth season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" will reportedly start filming soon, and although Bravo is yet to officially announce the cast, speculations are rife that fans will miss some familiar faces from season 7.

Reports doing the rounds indicate that Claudia Jordan, who was NeNe Leakes' nemesis on the previous season, has been fired from the show. The talk is that Leakes has something to do with Jordan's firing, but Andy Cohen took to Twitter recently to say that no individual housewife has a voice in deciding who stays or leaves.

But fans aren't convinced, and many feel that Bravo would do anything to retain Leakes, the only remaining original "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member. Taking to online platforms, many also noted that Leakes could have a voice in deciding Jordan's fate.

"NeNe absolutely hated Housewives this season. She hated almost all of the other women and wanted off the show entirely," a Radar Online source said, reported OK! Magazine. "But she is the most valuable person in the entire franchise and Bravo was going to do whatever she wanted to keep her."

She is even said to have received a hike in salary, making her the highest paid housewife.

"They want NeNe and so they offered her a HUGE raise. She already makes the most and now they're giving her even more money per episode and her bonuses will be bigger too," the insider said.

Another person parting ways is Demetria McKinney, who is reportedly leaving the show after just one season. According to OK!Magazine McKinney is all set to release her debut album, and she has her hands full with other projects to return to RHOA.

Interestingly, these casting change include the addition of a new member, and reports note that actress Kim Fields will replace one of the departing housewives. OK! Magazine predicts that Fields' RHOA entry is expected to work wonders for her acting career, which has been at a standstill since her role in the Hallmark Channel's "For Better or for Worse" in 2014.
