Although the company is yet to reveal the details of the India-bound Lodgy, rumour mills have spat out a few details. Going by this, under the hood, Lodgy is expected to get 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in two states of tune - 85PS and 110P and is expected to get a manual transmission.

Speaking of the features, Lodgy is likely to come fitted with a three-spoke steering wheel, circular AC vents, dual-tone dashboard and centre armrest for rear passengers. There seems to be parking sensors and reverse camera on the menu.

When launched, Renault Lodgy will rival Honda's new Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Enjoy and upcoming Datusn Go+ in India. From what we have heard so far, the MPV is likely to be priced competitively in domestic market, so expect it to get a tag in the range of ₹8 - ₹11 lakh.

"Renault holds the distinction of being the inventor of the MPV, with the Renault Espace launched in Europe three decades ago, and its expertise will be reflected in its new product offering for India: An MPV called 'The Renault Lodgy'," NDTV quoted a company official as saying.
