Days ahead of its possible launch in the country, rumours have hit the web that Renault might launch only the top end trim of its Lodgy MPV in India.

A new report of AutoCar India claimed that Renault is likely to offer only the high end version of Lodgy initially in the market, as the company intends to place it in the premium segment. The other variants of the Lodgy model will be making their debut later this year.

As for oily bits, Renault Lodgy will get power from a 1.5-litre dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that can churn out 85 PS and 110 PS of power outputs and both the versions will be offered with 7 and 8 seater configuration.

The feature list of Lodgy top variant includes electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, touchscreen infotainment system with USB, AUX connectivity and rear view camera with reverse parking sensors.

In terms of dimensions, Lodgy MPV measures 4,498 mm in length, 1,751 mm in width, 1,697 mm in height, and comes with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. The dealers of Renult have opened bookings for Lodgy with an advance payment of ₹50,000 and when launched, the model is likely to be pitched against Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy in the Indian market.
