French auto-maker Renault's small hatchback Kwid has become an instant hit, garnering over 85,000 bookings in the country, and compelling the company to ramp up production to meet the unprecedented demand.
The staggering sales of Kwid led the waiting period of this entry level model going up to 10 months in certain cities, within few weeks of its launch. However, things seem to be getting back on track now after the increase in production from the original 5,000 units per month.
