Auto maker Renault India on Saturday inaugurated a new dealership in Bangalore City, taking the total number of dealerships in the city to four.

Located in J P Nagar, the fourth dealership outlets of the Renault India will operate in association with Trident Auto Enterprise. The company, which sells models like Duster in the country, has 118 authorised dealerships in India, of which 32 are located in thesouth.             

"Renault has been demonstrating a strong growth trend in India since its entry and our products have found widespread acceptance. We are very happy to launch our fourth dealership in Bangalore. We are firmly committed to India and will continue to expand our network," CarDekho quoted Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India.

He also added that with the runaway success of the Duster in the sub-continent market, Renault India marked its entry into the top 15 global markets for Renault. According to The Times of India report, the company which started its operations in India in 2011 has sold nearly one lakh units of vehicles in the country till now. In India, the company's portfolio includes the Scala, Pulse, Fluence, Duster and Koleos.

The company also said that there wont be nay big launches for the next calendar year. The French auto major has recently announced it would increase vehicle prices in India from next month, in a bid to counter the impact of high input costs.

"Due to unavoidable macro-economic factors such as increasing rates, input costs, Renault India will increase prices across its product range in January," Renault India Executive Director Sales and Marketing Sumit Sawhney said in a statement.
