Reliance Industries launched Reliance Jio Preview Offer two months ago. It offered unlimited access of high-speed 4G data, HD voice call, HD video call, SMS, and Jio apps for three months for Jio SIM users.

Reliance's Jio plan was marred by call drops at one point of time after rival companies refused to provide sufficient points of interconnection (PoIs) but that didn't stop people from buying the SIM.

It is reported that there are more than 50 million Jio SIM users in the country. With the free data offer being extended by three months and new customers to avail the benefit, number of Jio SIM users could swell in the next few months.
