Kollywood actor Suriya's most-awaited film "Singam 2" is all set to hit the theatres on 14 June. Directed by Hari, "Singam 2" is a sequel to the blockbuster film "Singham" which also starred Suriya.

The sequel will have Anushka Sharma and Hansika in the female leads. Comedian Vivek and Santhanam are playing supporting roles.

Suriya reprises the role of a cop in this action entertainer. Actor Prakash Raj who played the villain in the original will not be a part of "Singam 2". The film's shooting was wrapped up recently. According to reports, some of the film's songs and action sequences have been canned in South Africa. The film's climax was reportedly shot in Malaysia.

Suriya, who raised a fist against Vietnamese actor Johnny Tri Nguyen in his last outing "7aam Arivu," will be taking on another Hollywood actor, Danny Sapani, in "Singam 2." The film has already garnered a lot of expectations as the first part (Singam) was a big hit.

"Singam 2's" scores are composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The music launch will take place on 1 June. The Telugu version (dubbed) of the film, "Yamudu 2", is expected to get released on the same date as the original.
