In last week's episode of "Reign" we saw Francis' (Toby Regbo) health deteriorating by the minute, and Mary (Adelaide Kane) doing everything in her power to hold on the life of her dying husband. In the upcoming episode "The Price", which marks Season 3 Episode 4 of "Reign", we will see Mary seeking the help of some magic to restore her husband's health and put her life at stake for the same.

The show is however, taking a week-long break before clarifying the suspense on whether Francis will die or live. Although the new episode will be aired only on next Friday, 6 November, the promos have already been released by The CW.

According to a clip from "The Price", Francis is inching towards his death, looking pale, while his wife strives to power through her pain. She is desperate enough to try anything and seeks the help of a witch, who agrees to help her.

However, all magic comes at a cost, and in this case, it is one life for another. Mary is still adamant, and tells the witch, "If the price is my life for his, bring him back." In the promo we also see Francis taking a sudden breath in, waking up from a seemingly painful slumber.

This could be deciphered as Francis returning to life, after the successful completion of the magic or him taking his last breath, before succumbing to his sickness. Regardless of all this, we know that Francis will not make it through the entire season, and the time Mary will, at the end of the day, amount to anything.

From history books, we also know that Mary outlives her husband, so her life in exchange of Francis is ruled out. But to find out if anyone did actually sacrifice himself or herself for the King, we will have to wait till 6 November.
