Mumbai/ New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): The BJP on Sunday hailed imposition of president's rule in poll-bound Maharashtra after former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan resigned. Chavan quit after the regional Nationalist Congress Party pulled out of the government over failure of seat-sharing talks with the Congress party. President Pranab Mukherjee signed the proclamation a day after the union cabinet recommended it. Congress said that the decision was arbitrary. The NCP said it was the President's prerogative. The upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra will be held on October 15.
