The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 51.7495 rupees and the euro 65.9910 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (January 10, 2012) were 52.2255 rupees and 66.7978 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 80.0099 as against 80.8399 on the previous day (January 10, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 67.29 as against 67.99 the previous day.
