The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 51.4490 rupees and the euro at 69.1235 rupees.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (December 5, 2011) were 51.3925 rupees and 68.9227 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 80.3788 as against 80.2031 on the previous day (December 5, 2011) and that of Japanese yen is 66.19 as against 65.91 the previous day.
