Ranveer Singh, who is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, injured his head while shooting for the climax sequence in Mumbai earlier this week. Though he required immediate medical attention, Ranveer didn't let the injury effect the shoot and continued to play his role, Alauddin Khilji with conviction.

It was only later that the wound started bleeding profusely that he realised the seriousness and rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. With stitches on his head, Ranveer returned to the sets to complete his portions of the shoot and once again proved that he is a dedicated actor. 

"Ranveer hurt himself on the head while shooting for the film during a particular take but he was so engrossed in the performance that he did not realise it till cut was called it's only after he started bleeding profusely from the head after cut was called did everyone realise that he was hurt badly. Ranveer received initial first aid on the set and was rushed immediately to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. He completed the basic treatment and returned to the film's set to complete his portions of the shoot," a source from the sets told Deccan Chronicle.

Meanwhile, Ranveer seems to be doing fine as on Friday (May 26) he flew down to London for a solo vacation. The two-week vacation was pre-planned and the 31-year-old intends to unwind himself without any professional commitments.

A Mumbai Mirror report says, "He plans to catch up on some of the biggest sporting events while there. He'll be watching the Real Madrid v/s Juventus UEFA Champions League final match at the Millenium Stadium on June 3, followed by the India-Pakistan cricket match the next day in Birmingham. The self-confessed sports fanatic has often crossed continents to catch his favourite league games."

In other news, rumour has it that Ranveer and Deepika Padukone, who plays Rani Padmavati in the period drama, have moved in together in the former's apartment near Dahisar (suburb of Mumbai), where the shooting of the film is currently going on.
