When words didn't make a difference, they resorted to pictures. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone put to rest breakup rumours by walking out of the pre-wedding party of Mukesh and Nita Ambani's niece Isheta, hand-in-hand. The Befikre star was seen posing for the cameras outside of the venue and later escorting Padukone to her car.

This warm gesture will hopefully put an end to all the speculations. A few weeks ago, it was being said that Bollywood's it couple had broken up over ego issues and that they have been hanging out with different people in their free time.

Apparently, Singh didn't take very kindly the way Padukone hardly ever acknowledges his work on social media and has mostly maintained a politically correct stance about their relationship status, whereas he goes all out in expressing his fondness for her. Clearly, all that now appears to be nothing but just another fabricated piece of news.

Last month, both the stars dropped subtle hints about how the reports of them calling it quits are hogwash. Days before Padukone said she now understands what needs to absorbed and what discarded, Singh had spoken very philosophically about love.

Talking to the media, the young actor said he used to feel "perturbed" about such gossips on his name, but not anymore. "I now have the maturity to understand that it comes with the territory. I don't let it affect me because I know now that public memory is short. Therefore, the effect should be in limited capacity. I don't get fazed by the scrutiny. It does gets irritating but not catastrophic," he added.
