Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee has heaped praises on superstar Salman Khan on latter's birthday and she described him as yet another demi-god after South Indian Superstar Rajinikanth.

Salman Khan turned 49 on 27 December and Mukherjee took to her Twitter handle on Saturday to wish the actor. The actress tweeted, "Wishing my dear friend, most loved superstar, the being human Salman Khan a very happy birthday! :)"

In a series of tweets, the actress praised Sallu Miyan. She posted, Salman is a cult figure.. Just as the South has Rajinikanth, we have Salman! #HappyBirthdaySalmanKhan . When Salman comes on screen, not only the common man but we actors also clap and whistle for him. #HappyBirthdaySalmanKhan. (Sic)"

Mukherjee continued, "Salman is so sweet. He helps you whenever you're in trouble, whether that's personally or professionally. #HappyBirthdaySalmanKhan. Nobody else is a rockstar quite like Salman Khan and there is simply nobody else like him. #hbd."

The actress is a big fan of Salman Khan-hosted reality TV show "Bigg Boss 8" and she missed him on Saturday episode.

She wrote, "Tonight's @BiggBoss-Comedy Nights special is too hilarious. Loving it. Kapil, you're damn funny!! :) @ColorsTV #nowwatching. Missing Salman but no worry he'll be back tomorrow to entertain us. :) #BB8."

Mukherjee has worked with Salman Khan in several hit movies such as "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega", "Baabul", "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke", "Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye" and "Hello Brother". She shares an amazing on and off-screen chemistry with the actor, which was one of the key reasons of the success of all their combo films.

Having made her acting debut with Bengali film "Biyer Phool", the actress hogged the limelight with Aamir Khan's 1998 movie Ghulam. She had huge demand in the industry and enjoyed having at least four to five releases every year.

Since 2008, the number of offers for her has gone down drastically and she has struggled to have one release a year. She was last seen in "Mardaani", which has got lukewarm response at the box office.
