Although their breakup was a messy affair, it seems Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have decided not to carry the grudge further.

After sharing screen space in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming flick "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD) the duo is getting along so well that Ranbir has compared his pairing opposite Deepika to the legendary pairings of Raj Kapoor Nargis and Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha.

"I want to do more films with Deepika because I also need to find that one co-star who is equally hardworking and passionate. Deepika and I have a good chemistry like the legendary pairs Raj Kapoor-Nargis and Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha," Ranbir was quoted saying by The Times of India.

Giving no vent for speculation or rumours Ranbir added, "I don't want to sound pompous, we may or may not be able to achieve that, but Deepika and I have a great working relationship because we are so comfortable with each other. Secondly, we are somewhere in the same place in our career as we started around the same time. We would want people to associate our pairing in a very nice way."

"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is Ranbir and Deepika's first film after parting ways in 2009. The trailer of the romantic flick shows them sharing fantastic chemistry. During several promotional events of the film, the duo said they were comfortable working with each other.

Speaking about their on-screen chemistry in "YJHD" Deepika said, "We are fortunate that we (Ranbir and I) have a good on screen chemistry. It feels good that people have liked us in the promos. And I hope it has nothing to do with we being ex-lovers. We are compatible, we look lovely on screen. He (Ranbir) is a wonderful co-star, we had lot of fun," Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

The leggy actress while shooting for the film said the x-factor did not come in and instead they were playing their respective roles sincerely.

Produced by Karan Johar "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is among one of the most awaited films of 2013 and is set to hit the screens on 31 May.
