There is going to be mega clash at the box office for two big Telugu films.

Ram Charan Teja's "Yevadu", which will hit theatres on 31 July, is all set to take on Pawan Kalyan's "Atharintiki Daaredi", which is set to release a week later on 7 August.

Both the films have high expectations as the actors enjoy huge fan following from Telugu audiences. Interestingly, it is a clash between the nephew (Ram Charan is Chiranjeevi's son) and the uncle (Pawan is Chiranjeevi's brother).

The makers of "Yevadu" had initially considered a different date to avoid a clash with "Atharintiki Daaredi", but they could not find an appropriate date for the release. However, "Yevadu" producer Dil Raju is confident about the film's success at the box office. He believes that two big budget films releasing during the same period will not affect each other's business.

"I don't think the box-office has anything to do with stars and their films. Two films featuring star actors can have a good run at the box-office provided they are good. Remember, 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' and 'Lagaan' released on the same day and went on to be blockbusters," Dil Raju told Indo Asian News Service.

"I'm sure 'Yevadu' will be another 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' and 'Attarintiki Daaredhi' will be another 'Lagaan'. Both films will be equally good and will have a good run at the box-office. Their release won't affect each other," he added.

"Yevadu" and "Atharintiki Daaredi" are deemed as commercial entertainers. "Yevadu" has Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson as female leads. Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal appear in special roles. The film is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

On the other hand, "Pawan's "Atharintiki Daaredi" has Samantha and Pranitha as female leads. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film also has Nadhiya, Ali, Brahmanandam and Kota Srinivasa Rao in supporting roles. The film is produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. Bhogavally Bapineedu and Reliance Entertainment are co-producing the project. Interestingly, Devi Sri Prasad has composed the songs for this film as well.
