Subaskaran Allirajah, the producer of forthcoming Rajinikanth's film "2.0", which is also known as "Enthiran 2", has turned large-hearted to donate a huge sum to the Chennai flood victims.
He has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Subaskaran Allirajah has met the State Financial Secretary, Shanmugan, on Thursday, 27 December and handed over the cheque to him.
Among the producers, he is said to be the highest donor for the Chennai flood victims. This gesture has been appreciated by the cine-goers.
Subaskaran Allirajah entered the Tamil film industry with blockbuster "Kaththi" starring Vijay and Samantha. Now, he is producing Rajinikanth's mega-budget project "2.0". He is also reportedly going to make a movie with Jayam Ravi and could possibly review Kamal Haasan's long-pending dream project "Marudhanayagam".
In another major contribution, actress Samantha too has turned generous by donating Rs 30 lakh for the flood-hit victims. She has contributed the said amount to Prathuysha Foundation, which has spent the amount for the relief works.
The official Pratyusha Support twitter account confirmed the news and posted, "We have all seen some great contributions & help pouring in for our dearest Chennai in the wake of unforeseeable & disastrous rains. Meanwhile, Samantha's latest movie "Thanga Magan" has been released with a bang. The Tamil film has got fairly positive reviews and the actress has impressed the audience in her de-glamorous role thus ending the year on a positive note. She has shared the screen space with Dhanush and Samantha.
Her next big film is the Vijay starrer "Theri". In this film too, she has shared screen space with Samantha.
