The actor is expected to start his next project - "Drishyam" remake - after completing the shooting for "Uthama Villain." According to the grapevine, the Tamil version of "Drishyam" will go on floors in June. While Kamal will be playing the lead role, details about the film's cast and crew members are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, buzz is that superstar Rajinikanth is all set to kick start his new film with director KS Ravikumar. The actor's upcoming film "Kochadaiiyaan", which was slated to hit the screens on 11 April, has been reportedly pushed to May. However, an official announcement on the film's exact release date is still awaited.

It is being said that the superstar will start the new project with director KS Ravikumar in June, according to a report in Cinemalead.

Actress Anushka shetty has reportedly been  approached to play the female lead opposite the superstar. However, the actress has not yet signed the project. "Yes, Anushka has been approached to work with Rajinikanth. Talks are on with her though she has not been finalized for the film. If she signs the project, she will start shooting for the film from June. From Anushka's side, she is very keen on accepting the offer. The only thing that could stop her from taking up the project could be date issues," a source close to the actress told Times of India.

Rajinikanth and KS Ravikumar have teamed up for "Muthu" and "Padayappa", both of which have turned out to be big hits. The director has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the actor's upcoming film "Kochadaiiyaan."

Ravikumar is one of the Tamil directors who know the pulse of the audience. It will be a real treat for the fans if the director teams up with the superstar once again. However, an official announcement regarding the project is still awaited.
