Rarely does a Malayalam film song manages to be in the top list of popular videos on YouTube. The first song of the film "Iyobinte Pusthakam" gets this rare credit of becoming the most trending video on YouTube on its second day of release.
The song video has beaten other popular videos, including the fan made trailer of "Friends: The Movie (2015 Trailer)", the official trailer of Will Smith and Margot Robbie's "Focus" and the official trailer of "Chaar Shahibzaade", an animated 3D Punjabi film on Sikh Gurus. However, the "Focus" trailer has been watched by more than a million people and "Chaar Shahibzaade" has received more than four lakh views.
"Raave" song, which was released on 11 October has already received more than 70,000 views. This romantic melody is rendered by Neha S Nair and Hari Charan and the video features Aloshy (Fahadh Faasil) and Martha (Isha Sharwaani) who are in live. The music of the film is composed by Neha and Yakzan Gary Pereira and the lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahammed.
The video has received appreciation for its excellent cinematography, done by Amal Neerad, who is also the director of the film. The frames have a minimalistic approach yet the director and cinematographer have managed to bring out a classy visual treat for its audience. The choreography of this romantic track is done by actress Gayathri Raghuram, who is the daughter of popular dance master Raghuram.
This magnum opus film also has Lal, who plays the title role Iyob, Jayasurya as Angoor Ravuthar, Lena as Kazhali, Jinu Joseph as Ivan, Padmapriya as Rahel, Reenu Mathews as Annamma, Chemban Vinod as Dimithri, Vinayakan as Chemban. Sreejith Ravi, TG Ravi, Saritha Kukku, Anil Murali, John Vijay and Aashiq Abu will also appear in pivotal roles in the film.
The story and the script of the Fahadh starrer are penned by Gopan Chithambaram and Shyam Pushkaran. The film is jointly produced by Amal and Fahadh.
