QiKU, pronounced as "chi-koo," has forayed into India on Friday with the launch of a premium device, the QiKU Q Terra.

QiKU said the Terra smartphone will be available in India through Gadgets360 for Rs 21,999 in open sale but the company will send out so-called Q-invites that will drop the price down to Rs 19,999.

Details on how to get the Q-invites were not shared immediately but the company is expected to share more information next week, Tech First Post reported.

The QiKU Q Terra features a magnesium and aluminium alloy unibody with a 6-inch Full HD display. The handset measures an impressive 3.5mm at its slimmest point and packs a 3,700mAh battery, dual SIM slots and a microSD card slot. The Q Terra also sports a fingerprint scanner on the rear that can unlock the handset in just 0.5 seconds.

On the specs front, the QiKU Q Terra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with liquid cooling technology, 3GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage. The handset also offers an impressive 13MP dual camera setup on the rear side of the device, where one sensor is dedicated to capture colour and the other for black and white images. This adds better detail to the images, even in low light. On the front side, there is an 8MP sensor for selfies.

While these specs will help, the QiKU Q Terra offers more than just that. The handset runs on Android Lollipop but has its own 360 OS on top of it, which adds extra value.

Below are some unique features bundled in the 360 OS that are bound to impress. (via BGR)

Private Space

This is a very popular feature that lets users store their private stuff in a password-protected space on the phone. Those who have used Knox on Samsung phones and guest mode on some Android phones must be familiar with it.

Application Authority Manager

If security is your top priority, 360 OS addresses that quite efficiently. Users can select the permission each app gets. This feature has now been included in Android 6.0 Marshmallow but Q Terra brings it with Android Lollipop.

Heat Tracing

Heating is one of the major concerns of smartphones with metal builds these days. In order to overcome that, 360 OS helps you track the CPU temperature of the device with a complete breakdown.

One-Key Speed

One-Key Speed closes every app that is running the background and eating up your RAM. This will speed up the handset's performance, much like how Clean Master performs.

Freezer

The built-in feature lets users freeze any app from drawing power from the CPU or even connect to the internet. End result: users are in control of every app and its function.

Removable bloatware

Unlike most phones in the market, the QiKU Q Terra will let users uninstall pre-installed apps, including messaging and browser, so they can have their own apps.
