Malayalam movies Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan, which released of October 7, have been garnering amazing response from audience. Fans have been celebrating the day by watching the movies of Mohanlal and Mammootty in back-to-back shows all over India.
Looking at the popular ticket booking website BookMyShow, almost all the shows have been screened with housefull shows since its premiere on Friday. The evening shows have also been shown as housefull in most of the theatres in Kerala and other parts of the country.
Both Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan are expected to make a tremendous box office collection, and the Mohanlal-starrer is expected to earn more as it has been screened in more than 300 screens compared to the Mammootty-starrer, which has hit only 114 screens in Kerala.

The Vysakh directorial Pulimurugan, which narrates the story of a wild hunter Murugan, is being bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupaadam. It has Kamalini Mukherjee, Namitha, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagapati Babu, Makarand Deshpande, Lal, Bala, Kishore, MR Gopakumar, Vinu Mohan and Ramesh Pisharody in pivotal roles.
Thoppil Joppan, helmed by Johny Antony and produced under the banner of Grand Film Corporation, stars Mamta Mohandas, Andrea Jeremiah, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Salim Kumar, Mohan Jose, Saju Navodaya, Harisree Ashokan, Renji Panicker, Sreejith Ravi, Sohan Seenulal, Jude Anthany Joseph, Alencier Lay and Suresh Krishna in significant roles.
