Assam, Aug 14 (ANI): The Assam-Nagaland border areas remained tense amid killing of two villagers in Uriamghat of Golaghat district of Assam. The two victims were hit by bullets fired by unidentified persons from Nagaland side when they were protesting against the kidnapping of two teenagers by suspected miscreants. Various student organization of Assam took to street and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi for inaction in the matter. President of Jorhat unit of All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) Pankaj said that 150 houses were burned down by the militants in Golaghat district.
