Priyamani has hit back at all those who trolled the actress over her engagement. The actress got engaged to her boyfriend Mustufa Raj on Friday, May 27.

Many of her followers on Facebook had posted negative comments about her getting ready to marry someone from a different religion. Irked by the negative response, she posted, "Fed up of so much of hatred and negativity with regards to the engagement news that I shared hoping that everyone would be a part of my new journey and bless me with ur kind messages..but I'm appalled by so much of negative reactions!Grow up you people!!!ITS MY LIFE..and I'm NOT answerable to any one apart from my parents and my fiancé! [sic]"

Priyamani and Mustufa Raj's engagement was held in a simple event at her residence at Banashankari, Bengaluru. Her family had big plans for the special day. Unfortunately, her uncle passed away a month ago and her parents were not keen to organise a grand event when the family was in grief.

Meanwhile, the actress has told the Times of India that they will tie the knot early next year. "Mustafa and I are extremely happy and I feel on top of the world right now. We are yet to finalise the wedding date but we are planning to tie the knot in the beginning of next year," the daily quoted the actress as saying.

Priyamani and Mustufa Raj fell in love five years ago. They met during an Indian Premiere League (IPL) match.

On the professional front, Priyamani has a few films in her kitty. She is currently working on Yogaraj Bhat's "Dana Kayonu," which stars Duniya Vijay in the lead role. She has paired up with Upendra in "Kalpana 2" and has also signed the Malayalam film, "Silent Radio."
