Prithviraj and Nivin Pauly are all set to join hands for Shyamaprasad's next. The film, titled "Ivide" has Bhavana in the female lead role.
"Ivide", touted as a crime thriller will be shot completely in the USA and will have its major crew from international circuits.
The story of "Ivide" is based on the serial killing of IT techies in major US cities and Prithviraj will play the role of a cop of Indian origin in the Atlanta police department. The film has majority of its cast from the US, while Aju Varghese and YG Mahendra will play pivotal roles in it.
Earlier, it was said that Fahadh Faasil and Nyla Usha will play the lead roles along with Prithviraj but later it was cancelled.
"Things change when we try to bring in the combination of big stars. Prithviraj, Nivin and Bhavana will play the lead roles in this film and that is final," said Shyamaprasad to The Times of India.
Unlike the usual inaugural functions, the makers had organised a preview of the film's rehearsal and the director displayed how he works with the actors.
Keeping in consideration of the US actors' inconvenience in dubbing, the film will be shot in sync sound. Shyamaprasad's previous movies like "Arike", "English" and "Artist" were also shot in sync sound.
The scripting of the upcoming crime thriller is done by Ajayan Venugopal and the film is said to be one of the costliest film in the recent times in Malayalam.
Meanwhile, Nivin had earlier worked with Shyamaprasad for the 2013 film "English: An Autumn in London". The film was also scripted by Ajayan and received good reviews from the critics.
Prithviraj had worked with "Ritu" director for the highly noticed film "Akale" in 2004. This film received many prestigious awards, including National Awards, Kerala State Awards and Filmfare Awards South.
The shooting of "Ivide" is expected to begin in November and will hit the theatres in early 2015. The film is produced by Dr S Sajikumar under the banner of Dharmik Films.
