New transcripts have revealed that Princess Diana in a secret tape talked about her marriage with Prince Charles and his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. Devastated with the fact that her marriage is falling apart, Diana has decided to reveal her side of the story.

The late Princess of Wales recorded tapes and gave it to author Andrew Morton. The tapes revealed her side of the story, which the author documented in a book titled Diana: Her True Story. Diana gave the tapes to Morton with the help of her friend James Colthurst.

In her tapes, Diana talked about her battle with bulimia nervosa, a serious eating disorder marked by binge eating.

"The bulimia started the week after we got engaged (and would take nearly a decade to overcome). My husband [Prince Charles] put his hand on my waistline and said: 'Oh, a bit chubby here, aren't we?' and that triggered off something in me. And the Camilla thing," she said in the recording, according to Daily Mail.

Diana referred to Camilla's affair with Charles when he was still married to Diana while Camilla was still married to her first husband Andrew Parker-Bowles.

"I was desperate, desperate. I remember the first time I made myself sick. I was so thrilled because I thought this was the release of tension," Diana talked about her illness.

"The first time I was measured for my wedding dress, I was 29 inches around the waist. The day I got married, I was 23½ inches. I had shrunk into nothing from February to July. I had shrunk to nothing."

The book Diana: Her True Story, which became a sensation, was first released in 1992 and more than two decades later the author has released the transcripts of the tape.

Diana also said in the tapes that she was aware of Charles and Camilla's relationship before their royal marriage. According to Diana, Camilla knew about their private travel plans and what Charles was doing privately.

"She knew so much about what he was doing privately and about what we were doing privately . . . like if we were going to stay at Broadlands (the Mountbatten family seat in Hampshire). I couldn't understand it. Eventually, I worked it all out and found the proof of the pudding, and people were willing to talk to me."

The late Princess also described her struggle with the press before an official news about their engagement was announced and how she got no help from Charles and the Palace press office.
