Love is in the air for Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle. The royal couple engaged in a rare public display of affection after attending their first public event together, a charity polo match on Saturday.

Harry was spotted kissing Meghan and embracing his lady love as they stood in a car parking area at Coworth Park Polo Club on Saturday. Harry, who was wearing a grey and white polo T-shirt, leaned and kissed girlfriend Meghan, who wore a beige jacket over an Antonia Berardi dress.

"Nobody had any idea Meghan was coming, so it was a surprise to see her there. She looked an absolute picture of happiness, laughing as the match was played. Meg obviously wanted to be there for Harry and to support such a great cause," an onlooker at the charity polo told The Sun.

Before they engaged in the PDA, Meghan was seen cheering Harry throughout the competition. Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, also joined Prince Harry at the polo match on Sunday.

"Their royal highnesses have taken part in polo fixtures in support of their charities since 2007 and have continued each year since, raising over 10 million pounds [$13 million] for charitable causes to date," Kensington Palace said in a statement on Saturday.

Apart from the royals, A-list celebrities, including Eddie Redmayne and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, The Crown actor Matt Smith and actor Tom Hardy attended the event on Saturday, while Emma Stone attended the next day.

Meanwhile, the charity polo match marked Harry and Meghan's first public outing together as the couple. Meghan had earlier attended Harry's friend's wedding. Harry and Meghan will soon make an appearance at Kate Middleton's sister Pippa Middleton's wedding to financier James Matthews later this month.
