Prince George of Cambridge, the great grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the only son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, celebrates his second birthday on Wednesday, 22 July.

Unlike his first birthday, the royal child will have a low-key celebration with his friends and relatives, including his great grandmother, the Duchess of Cambridge, grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton as well as aunty Pippa Middleton.

However, Prince Charles and the Duke of Cambridge may not attend the celebration due to official reasons. While George's grandfather will be on a official trip with the Duchess of Cornwall, William is likely to be working on a shift as it has just been a week after he joined East Anglian Air Ambulance as a helicopter pilot, according to Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Kensington Palace will be releasing a new photo of the young Prince on Twitter. "We'll be sharing a special photo of Prince George later ahead of his birthday tomorrow. Watch this space!" read the post.
