Premier League hotshot Jamie Vardy could soon see his life being portrayed on the big screen, and Hollywood actors Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron, or Andrew Garfield are reportedly identified as the perfect actors to play the character of the Leicester City star striker.

Vardy, 28, has turned heads from all over the world after he achieved a Premier League record of scoring 11 goals in 11-straight games, and also shattering the previous record held by Manchester United legend Ruud van Nisterlooy in the process.

The England international achieved the feat last Saturday when Leicester City drew 1-1 with the Red Devils at the King Power Stadium in a Premier League game.

According to the British daily The Sun, British-born screenwriter Adrian Butchart, who is known for penning football movies like the first two editions of the "Goal!" trilogy, has held meetings in the tinseltown and has pitched the idea of showcasing the footballer's life in the big screen.

Vardy started out as a factory worker, and it was only five years back, that he was playing non-league football. He started out with his hometown club Sheffield Wednesday but was released when he was 16-years-old.

Following stints with Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town, Vardy signed with Leicester City in 2012, and went on to win the Championship with the Foxes in 2013-14, thus clinching promotion to the Premier League. "It's the kind of story that if we made it up, people wouldn't believe it," Butchart said.

"His [Vardy's] achievements are incredible and to break the Premier League record with such a sublime goal against the biggest club in football pushed him to the top of our agenda. It's amazing to think he was playing non-league football and making medical splints for a living until so recently before breaking the record. It is the kind of role actors dream of," Butchart added.

Mexican actor Kuni Becker played the role of Santiago Munez in the "Goal!" trilogy, written by Butchart. It showcases the rags-to-riches story of a young footballer who finally makes it to his favourite club Newcastle United with his sheer passion, and also gets the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe -- Real Madrid.
