Premier Futsal 2016 semifinals schedule: Fixtures, TV listings, date, time, venues

The super-competitive Premier Futsal 2016 has thrown up the final four teams who will battle it out now in the semifinals of the event in India. The league became an instant favourite among the Indian sports fans after massive names from the world of football were announced as the marquee players of the competition.

Ryan Giggs' Mumbai, Cafu's Goa, Michel Salgado's Kochi and Hernan Crespo's Kolkata will feature in the semifinals next in an effort to make it to the first-ever final of the competition in India.

With Kolkata and Mumbai already having qualified earlier, the matches on Thursday — the final day of the league games — were as exciting as it could get. Chennai 5s, led by 'Pele of Futsal' Falcao, had a huge chance of making it to the semifinals of the competition, provided they won their match against the Kochi 5s.

The match was going in the favour of Falcao's side until the very end but a goal at the death from Kochi made the score 3-3 and Kochi made their progression to the semifinals following a pulsating game.

Goa 5s, meanwhile, had a comfortable outing against Paul Scholes' Bengaluru 5s on Thursday, as the likes of counter-attack specialist Rafael and Goa goalkeeper Bebe inspired their team to have a comfortable sailing to the semifinals of Premier Futsal 2016.
