The makers of Telugu movie "Manju", which is the remake of Malayalam hit film "Premam", are reportedly in talks with actors Nithin and Sai Dharam Tej for a cameo role in the film.

The cameo has a small screen presence, but it is crucial to the film. "It's a brief but important character -that of a cousin of one of the lead actresses who will change the course of the story. The filmmakers are looking to rope in a well-known name for recall value, and are in talks with both Nithiin and Sai Dharam Tej," Hyderabad Times quoted a source close to the team as saying.

"Premam" is a coming-of-age musical romantic comedy film, which is a three-part portrayal of the lead finding his true love. Directed by Alphonse Putharen, the Malayalam movie features Nivin Pauly, Madonna Sebastian, Sai Pallavi, and Anupama Parameshwaran in lead roles.

Its Telugu remake is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by S Radha Krishna. The director is said to have made certain changes to suit the local audiences. Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Amyra Dastur and Anupama Parameswaran are playing the lead roles in the film, while Venkatesh and Nagarjuna make special appearances.

Naga Chaitanya, who is playing George David in "Manju", is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin of his character. "The film traces the story of the protagonist at different stages in his life ranging from age 16 to 30. Naga Chaitanya is working hard to transform himself to look his part. The film will go on floors in the first week of December," the source added.

Currently, the pre-production work of "Manju" is underway and the film is expected to go on floors by early 2016 and release in theatres by the end of the year. Like the original, this movie is likely to become a big hit at the box office.
